RULES

MUN

-My name is T, I’m 26 (as of March 2020). I’ve been writing for about 6 years now, both on and off tumblr. I work a 9-5 job, Monday through Friday, so I can be a bit slow with replies. Sometimes work takes a lot out of me and I simply don’t have the energy to write….

-Discord is available to mutuals, as is an ic texting wire I have for Dick.

BLOG/GENERAL INFO

-This is a multiship, multiverse blog. I am extremely AU, crossover friendly. In fact, I encourage those interactions just as much as canon. I love throwing Dick into different verses.

-No god modding please! Please discuss with me before you kill off Dick or any such drastic action. Likewise, I will for sure discuss Dick doing anything like that with you beforehand! Plotting is key to those situations.

-Drama free blog. I am here to write. I am not here to create or deal with your drama. I am 26 years old and work a high stress job. The last thing I need is more stress in my life due to your drama. I will never, ever tell you not to write or interact with a blog just because I personally have had issues with them. That is not my place and people can write with who they want to. On the same note, please do not come to me and tell me not to write with someone, simply because you have a bad history with them. Please let me make my own opinion and decision on things. The block button and unfollow button are your friends. Please use them, if you need to.

-All hate will be deleted. If you have an issue with me, please approach me in a mature manner off anon. The anon feature on this blog is not intended for ooc drama and hate, but for a fun aspect to in character rp. Please respect that. If you continue to violate this rule, you will be blocked.

-On the subject of blocking. The block button is your friend. Use it. I will typically softblock first, before hardblocking for any reason. If you want to know why I softblocked you, you can ask, but that doesn't mean you're entitled to an answer. I will answer if I feel comfortable doing so. If someone shows repeated violations of my rules, they will be softblocked.

-I LOVE DUPLICATES. Come to me fellow Dick Grayson blogs!! I’m totally down with twin things, AUs, or what have you. Or just mutual screaming in IMs about our boy.

FOLLOWING/INTERACTING

-I am a mutuals only blog. This means I will only thread and interact with mutuals. I run multiple other blogs; this is to keep me sane in managing them all.

-If you are a character I am not familiar with (mainly for OCs) and you do not have an about page, I will not rp with you. Sorry, but I need to know about the muse that Dick is interacting with.

-If you do not have a rules page, I will be very hesitant to rp with you. The rules page helps me get to know the mun a bit and learn about their rp style and what they like and dislike.

ASKS, MEMES, IMS

-Asks are open for everyone, though mutuals will be given preference. Memes are for mutuals only. IMs are currently set to be open to everyone, however if we are not mutuals, please don’t pressure me to reply to your IMs. I will give preference to mutuals for IMs, just for my own peace of mind. If non-mutuals start pressuring me to reply to IMs from them (which I have had happen before), I will change the setting to mutuals only. I’m not trying to be rude, but I do need to keep things a safe and comfortable place for me. I’d like IMs to be a fun way to communicate and plot, not something that stresses me out.

-Please don’t message me with things like ‘wanna rp’ if we aren’t mutuals. It just shows you’ve ignored my rules about how I am mutuals only. Thank you for understanding.

THREADS

-Please try to give me something to work with. If you reply with one word or just a short line when I wrote several, I may drop the thread. We can start another, but if a thread isn’t going anywhere, I can’t write decent replies for it…

-I am more than okay with continuing an ask reply, but please, please make a new post for it! I won’t continue the ask via reblogging the ask post itself.

-Please cut your posts!! I most likely won’t follow or interact with you if you don’t. It personally just drives me a little nuts when posts get super long. I prefer two replies per post: my partner’s reply and my reply.

-If I don’t reply to your thread within five days, then message me! I might have missed it. Otherwise, please wait until the five days pass. Chances are, it’s saved in my drafts but I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

SHIPPING

-Please don’t try to force any relationship on Dick. Just because I ship with another version or portrayal of your muse does not mean I will automatically ship with your muse as well.

-I will never force a ship on you, I promise! Typically, I like to talk a ship out before any shippy interactions occur.

-That said. I do love shipping, I won't lie.

TRIGGERS AND NSFW

-I will tag common triggers (blood, violence, death, etc) as ‘trigger tw’. If you need something tagged, please let me know and I’ll do my best to tag it for you!

-The assault by Mirage and Tarantula are canon on this blog!!!! Please read my psa posts (linked here) for more information on this. I do tag all mention or discussion of the incidents with either ‘rape tw’ or ‘rape mention tw’

Mostly based off of movies and television shows, with comic knowledge being added in as the mun reads them! Mun does work off of stuff from the pre-52 Nightwing run, mainly referencing Dick’s time as a cop in Bludhaven and the entire conflict with Tarantula and Blockbuster. Please note, I have altered Dick's occupation post-Blockbuster incident. He now teaches gymnastics classes to kids and adults at a local gym.

I tend to place rps in the time when Dick is Nightwing, after both Batman: Under The Red Hood, and both animated movies about Damian. This is simply because at this point, my comic knowledge is not up to snuff to do anything too far past that. Therefore, if Dick knows your character in the comics, just be aware that I might not know much about the character or their relationship with Dick. Patience as I try to find time to reach the comics would be appreciated!

Update January 2019: I have re-read Nightwing (pre!52), so that aspect of my knowledge is updated. That is mainly where I place comic interactions, unless otherwise requested. They are post the Blockbuster incident, with Dick resigning from the police and teaching gymnastics at the local gym.

I will rp post Agent 37/Spryal stuff, as requested! I know a lot of people dislike this run, but I do like the concept behind it and enjoy exploring Dick as I portray him, in that context.

VERSES

MAIN

Set while Dick is Nightwing, usually, unless otherwise requested. This blog does not really follow any one timeline, instead focuses of Dick Grayson as a character. The comics will be incorporated, but this blog will not start at a specific place in comic timeline, typically. If you would like to start at a certain place, just let me know!

In the main verse, Dick is living in Bludhaven and working as a gymnastics teacher by day, Nightwing by night. This is post-Blockbuster’s death. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

TALON

Dick Grayson never became Robin. After the death of his parents, he was taken in by the Court of Owls, trained to become their talon, their weapon. He does not have a name, unless necessary. If required, he goes by Richard.

When Batman dismantled the Court, tearing it down, Richard escaped, taking to the streets. He wanders, lost, unsure where to go from here. He fights crime as needed, but does not follow Batman’s rules. He kills, without hesitation or thought.

YOUNG JUSTICE

Follows the events of the Young Justice tv cartoon. Dick is now Nightwing, Tim taking over as Robin.

CIRCUS AU

AU where Dick never gets adopted by Bruce and instead stays with the circus. His parents still die, but the culprit is caught quickly. Haly adopts Dick himself, the entire circus raising Dick after his parents pass. Dick grows up traveling the world with the circus, always performing as ‘The Flying Grayson’.

MOB ENFORCER

After Blockbuster, after the gang wars and getting shot in the leg….Dick gives up Nightwing. He doesn’t find himself worthy, doesn’t think he deserves to do that anymore. He takes up with the mob, becoming an enforcer for the Tevis mob family. He gets the name ‘Crutches’, due to the fact that when he first starts the job, he’s still on crutches from a bullet wound in his thigh. The name sticks. He’s only got three rules: No killing, no kids, and no capes. Other than that, he’s happy to beat someone to the brink of death, but he won’t make the final blow.

BLACK MASK AU

Full verse info can be found at this post. Long story short, Dick doesn’t get adopted by Bruce and eventually, gets taken in by Black Mask and molded into his personal hitman, Riot.
